This year’s Annual convention and Perunnal will be held together on dates of Friday Sept. 9th to Sunday, Sept. 11th. There will be evenving prayer and convention speeches on Friday, Sept. 9th and Saturday, Sept. 10th. On Sunday we will be celebrating “Moonnumeyil Qurbana” followed by “Rassa” and Annual Auction.
This year’s Church Picnic was held at Ringwood State Park, New Jersey on Saturday, August 20th. It was a fun-filled day for all.
This year’s first newsletter was published by the editors Mrs. Betsy Thomas and Mr. Philipose Philip. This newsletter constains church news for first three months of this year. St. Mary’s, Suffern and International Cultural Education Center will be co-sponsoring “Tarasammunayam” – a mega star show to be held on Sunday May 29th, 2011. The venue for the show is Felician College, Lodi, New Jersey. The Mega Star show features renowned artists such as Meera Jasmin, Suraj Venjaramood, Bala & Amrutha and Vidhu Pratap. This year our Church won the Mar Gregorious Rolling Tropy for scoring the most points in the talent competitions and centralized exam. Congratulations!
This year’s family nite was held on Saturday October 9th, 2010 at Clarkstown Reformed Church Hall, 107 Strawtown Road, West Nyack, New York 10994. Program included Vallamkali, Thiruvathira, Magic Show, Dance, Comedy Skit and Songs.
Diocesan Metropolitan H. G. Mathews Mar Barnabas blessed our Parish with visit on Sunday, September 5th, 2010. Parish celebrated His Grace’s 86th birthday by cutting a cake and wishing happy birthday. His Grace’s visit also coincided with church providing special feast to mark Onam. Members prepared and brought special Kerala delicacies to participate in this event. It was visit down the memory lane for parents and a new experience for the kids.
Today parish newsletter was published by the editors. Newsletter contains Parish News for the month of April, May June and July. Our church youngsters teamed-up with players from St. John’s Orthodox Church in Rockland to form a united softball team. Team is currently 3 wins to 0 losses for the year. Team currently holds top position in their division. Per players in the team, “Team unity is remarkable and a good example of how the youth in our church can unite and play well together. You can’t win alone, you can win as a team.” For team standing and schedule, click here  HB Mar Milithios at St. Mary's Rockland Our Parish was blessed by the visit of The Catholicose Designate His Beatitude Paulose Mar Milithios Metropolitan on June 20th. Thirumeni celebrated divine Holy Qurbana for the faithfuls. There were many faithfuls present from sister parishes to receive blessing from the Thirumeni. Church hosted a public meeting in Thrumeni’s honor. Mr. Degan LaCorte, Honorable Mayor of Village of Suffern was distinguished guest present at the meeting. Mayor expressed his warm felicitations and presented Thirumeni with proclamation on behalf of the village council. The meeting concluded with closing prayers and benediction by Thirumeni. Parish hosted lunch for the Thirumeni and all participants after the meeting. The visit by Catholicate designate will be one of the most important events in our parish history. The smile and divine presence of the Thirumeni will be remembered by all for long time.
 His Beatitude Paulose Mar Milithios, The Catholicose Designate The Catholicose Designate His Beatitude Paulose Mar Milithios Metropolitan will be visiting our church and celebrating Holy Qurbana on Sunday, June 20th, 2010. We thank God Almighty for blessing our Parish with this great honor and privilege. We welcome all the faithful to come and part-take with us in this Holy Qurbana and subsequent reception for the Thirumeni. Our parish eagerly awaits the blessed visit.
