Church Announcements for Sunday June 30th, 2013

1. General Body will be held on July 7, 2013 the eligibility list is posted on the Notice board.
2. In an effort to get organized, Secretary is requesting future announcements (as much as possible) to be EMAILED to TINKYMARY@GMAIL.COM on Saturdays.
3. Sunday School :
   1. Regular final exam will be held in the church
   2. Centralized Exam will start between 12:00-12:30 in the upper level of the Annexe Building. We are requesting everyone to clear the area as early as possible after refreshments.
   3. We would like to welcome Mr. Jose from Port Chester church. He will be proctoring the Centralized exams.
   4. Drawing and Essay Competitions will be held on July 14, 2013. Students who want to participate MUST give their names to Mrs. Suja Pothen today. The topics are posted on the Notice Board.
   5. Malayalam School will be restarted during the Summer. We are requesting Parents to encourage their children to attend.
4. Combined OVBS 2013 will be held in our church on August 2, 3 and 4^th from 9 am – 3:30 pm
   1. Please register by July 20. The forms are on our website and the link to the Registration form is also on the flyer. So please take a copy of the flyer and register your children as soon as possible
   2. IF you were not able to volunteer at the Church Clean up event. This is another great opportunity to volunteer. Please contact Elizabeth Kurian or Tinky Abraham.
5. Martha Mariam Samajam (MMS)
6. Starting next two weeks MMS will be holding a food drive for “People to People” charity. A dropbox will be placed in the church. We are requesting donations of non-perishable foods like canned juice, canned vegetables, cereals, oatmeal etc.
7. There will be a workshop on “Parenting in the 21^st Century” on July 7, 2013. It will be conducted by Achen and Ponnu.
8. We are requesting parents to advice their children to not run in the pews as there are many broken book holders. Also, we are asking the appropriate Sunday School teachers to reinforce the point.
9. Next week’s Bible reading will be done by Irene James.
10. Mr. Abraham V. Abraham’s Brother-in-Law (Mr. John Thomas) passed away in Kerala. Our thoughts and prayers are with the family
11. The St. Mary’s Youth League (SMYLE) conducted Picnic yesterday and was well attended. Thank you to all the coordinators.
12. Church Cleaning was held yesterday and we want to sincerely thank the 25+ members who helped in this endeavor. It was a whole day’s effort with people cleaning Altar, Basement, Annexe. We have put together a video for everyone to see. Thanks to Ajith for all the photographs and Ladies for assisting in cleaning the kitchen.
